How to check Unity voicemail

Body

From your Cisco office telephone:

Press the voicemail button. The icon looks like a tape recorder and is above the settings gear icon next to the handset.

Follow the prompts and enter your PIN to login and listen to voicemail messages.

From another phone (cell phone, home phone, other extension on campus, etc):

This is a good method for on or off campus use.

Call your own university phone extension. Wait for voicemail to pick up and hit the * key while the audio to leave a message begins to play.

It will prompt you for your 4 digit extension, and your PIN. Once logged in you will be able to listen to voicemail messages.

Online:

Visit https://ucp.neiu.edu/inbox using a web browser to access the Cisco Unity Web Inbox and enter your NetID and password to log in. This is a good method for on or off campus use.

Note: The Cisco Unity Web Inbox will only work for phone numbers associated with a single person’s NetID. Shared departmental mailboxes are not associated with a NetID, and one of the other two options above should be used to check voicemail in those cases.
