Podium instructions

Touch the screen or power button on the upper right 

The Welcome screen below will come on.

Select the device you wish to use.

Room PC

1) Touch the Room PC Icon on the Crestron touch screen.

2) Be sure the PC is on.

3) Volume control. Use the up and down arrows on the touch screen to increase or decrease the volume.

Laptop

1) Connect the  HDMI cable to the computer.

2) Turn on your laptop.

3) Touch the Laptop Icon on the Crestron touch panel.

  • When connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror/duplicate your image by either pressing FN+F8 or + P (Select Mirror image). If these options do not work you might have to go to graphic display options and may need further help.  If so please contact us at the number below.
  • Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement pane select “Mirror displays”

NOTE: Some of our rooms have HDMI but not all yet so If you do not have VGA or in some cases HDMI you will need to get your own adapters. . Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adaters that are available and will have to purchase.

IF you need help finding the adapter you need to please set up a meeting with us and we will be happy to help you find the adapter you need.

USB Camera connection for guest laptops

1. Connect the USB cable to your laptop.

2. Be sure laptop is selected on Crestron screen.

3. Be sure to tap on the words Conference control (Press to control cameras and rear display)

LAPTOP VGA

1) Connect the  VGA cable to the computer.

2) Connect the Mini audio cable to the laptops headphone jack.

3) Turn on your laptop.

 

Soltice Pod

1) Touch the Soltice Pod Icon on the Crestron touch screen.

2) Be sure the App is downloaded to your device.

3) Type in the IP address on your device.

Just use your NEIU Portal log into log into the site.

Doc cam

1) Touch the Doc Cam on the Crestron Touch screen.

2) Power on the Doc camera with the Power Icon on the touch screen.

3) Aim the Camera to what ever you would like to project to the TV.

4) Use the controls to operate the Doc Camera.

Blu Ray

Put your figure gently on the icons and slide your finger up to reveal the Blu ray icon.

1) Touch the Blu-Ray Icon.

Image Mute 

Use this Icon to Mute the video on the TV if you wish to do set up before it is displayed. Be sure to UNMUTE with wanting to project to the TV

HELP

Use the HELP icon to get information on the differerent devices in the room and to get contact phone numbers when needing help.

Using USB to connect to room cameras.

1. Connect the USB cable to your laptop.

2. Connect the video cable of your choose VGA or HDMI.

3. On your laptop go to your Webcasting program. Example zoom.

4. Once in the program change the camera to INOGENI Share2u camera. 

5. Tap on conference controls on crestron touch screen and use the touch screen to select intructor or audience camera. 

6. Use crestron touch screen to control the camera.

These room have the ability to use the above programs over the internet to conference to other participants.

You must have your own account to use these programs.

To use this part follow the directions below.

  1. Click on the Room PC icon.
  2. Click on the words Conference Control (press to control cameras and rear display)

Front camera

  1. To control the camera that is aimed at the front of the room toward the instructor push the INSTRUCTOR Icon on the touch screen. This will allow you to control this camera.

 

Options for camera control

  1. You can use Presets to quickly go to preset that are already set for the camera
  2. Use the arrow keys to control the cameras direction.
  3. Use the + symbol to zoom in with the camera or use – to zoom out with the camera.
  4. To control the camera that is aimed at the Audience. Push the Audience icon

To display the LAPTOP.

  1. Hook to laptop up to the system by connecting the cable.
  2. Push the Laptop icon under the Content share box. Now your laptop will be displayed on zoom.

To display Doc camera

  1. Push the Doc Camera icon under the Content share box. Now the Doc camera will be displayed on zoom.

To display Solstice.

  1. Push the Solstice icon under the Content share box . Now the Solstice device will be displayed on Zoom.

Blue ray players are not hooked up to Internet (webcasting) rooms due to copyright laws.

HINT
You can do a work around to use the back TV for some equipment. If you go to the Room Pc Icon and tap it.
Then go to Room Pc
The item in the listed under Content Share will show up on the back TV. Just tap on the device you wish to see.

Shut Down

Push the Power button on the upper right. 

. Press Yes to confirm.

Please shut down equipment at end of class!
