Ivanti VPN Connection
Staff and faculty can access certain NEIU network services while off campus by connecting to NEIU's virtual private network (VPN). Users will need to be granted access to VPN before they can connect. The Ivanti Secure Access Client is pre-installed on your NEIU-assigned computer.
Note: Make sure you have obtained access to VPN. If not, please contact Service Desk via email IT-ServiceDesk@neiu.edu or call 773-442-4357.
If you need VPN access, please fill up this Employee Access Form and Submit a Ticket attaching the form.
How to Sign in to VPN on Windows
1. On your NEIU Windows computer, search Ivanti secure access client in the search bar

2. Delete any existing vpn connection (click X) and create a new connection (click +).

3. Use the following configuration.
Name: NEIU-VPN
Server URL: https://vpn.neiu.edu
4. Select connect to vpn. If you are still having trouble, change your password in the Neiuport and then try again. As soon as you try to log in it will send you a DUO push to confirm it's you.
After the connection has been established, the connection status will be reflected in the Ivanti Secure Access Client menu bar icon. You can now utilize NEIU network resources (such as accessing network drives or NEIUworks) just as if you were on campus.
When you are finished, you can disconnect from VPN via the Ivanti Secure Access Client disconnect.
