FA 145          Smart TV instructions

This Tv has a computer in it and has touch screen ability. You can touch the screen to navigate around.

Be sure to turn on the equipment rack if you want sound.

1) Main power switch on.

2) Mixer power is on.

3) Amp power is on.

 

Turn on TV by pushing the power button.

The Tv will power on and load up.

The computer will automatically come on.

To use the computer just tap on the screen for features you would like to use on the computer. Just like any normal computer. When typing the TV will display an on screen keyboard.

Connecting other devices.

NOTE: In this room there are two connection locations.

Location 1 = Located to the left of the TV screen.

Location 2 = Located by the equiment Rack.

HDMI    (LOCATION 1) (MAC USERS SEE NOTE BELOW) HDMI FRONT

Connect the HDMI cable to your device. Connecting to the left of the TV.

Be sure HDMI Front is selected on TV.

If you want your laptop to interact with the TV you can plug in the USB cable to your computer and you can tap on the touch screen to control your laptop.

The connection should come on automatically

If not click on the home button on the bottom of the

TV. 

Tap the Connections Icon.

To get location 2 (cables by rack) to work be sure the TV is set to HDMI Rear 2 on TV.

Be sure volume knob on mixer is turned up.

HDMI By RACK (Location 2) (MAC USERS SEE NOTE BELOW)

Connect the HDMI cable to your device. Connecting to the cable by the rack be sure the HDMI button on the Extron Switcher is on HDMI.

The TV should change automatically but If it does not then click on the home button on the bottom of the

TV.  and select HDMI 2.

Be sure the volume knob on mixer is turned up.

VGA = HDMI 2 ( Location 2)

Plug in the VGA cable by the sound rack.

Be sure that VGA is selected on Extron switcher box

Be sure your device is on. The connection should go automatically. If not click on the home button on the bottom of the

TV. Tap on the TV the HDMI 2 on TV if the connection does not go automataically. If it does not then click on the home button on the bottom of the

TV.  and select HDMI 2.

Be sure the volume knob on mixer is turned up.

Draw feature

If you tap on the Discussion Icon this allow you to use the TV as a chalk board or writing board. You can write on the TV with your finger to write down notes.

TVs Computer

The Tvs computer will automatically boot up to this screen. If you wish to return to the TVs computer touch the Home key and then the Windows Icon.

Webinar

To use the TV as a webinar system you will have to go to the TVs computer.

Log into the web service you would like to use. Do not forget when done to log out.

This TV has two cameras

One on top and one on the bottom. Select the camera you would like to use.  You do this by going through the test system option In the web service you are using.

EQUIPMENT RACK

CD/BLUTOOTH

1) Be sure the power is on.

2) Be sure the volume knob on the mixer is turned up. #6

3) Insert your disk in the CD player.

4) Use the remote or botton on the unit to control the player.

BLUTOOTH

Playing Audio from a Bluetooth Device To play Bluetooth Tracks:

1. If the unit is off, press the Power button to power it on.

2. Select Bluetooth (BT) as the media type (described in Selecting the Media Playback Mode).

3. Navigate to your Bluetooth device’s setup screen, find “DN-500CB” and connect.

Note: If your Bluetooth device prompts for a pairing code, enter 0000.

In Bluetooth Mode, you can perform any of the following operations: • To start, resume, or pause playback, press the Play/Pause button. • To pause playback, press the Stop button. • To remove the list of paired devices and disconnect from any currently paired device, press and hold the Clear button to remove all paired devices from the unit’s memory (and also unpair from a currently paired device). After the devices have been cleared from the unit’s memory, to connect again to the same device, go to your Bluetooth device and select “Unpair” or “Forget the Device”, depending on the type of device that you have. You can then select DN-500CB from your list of Bluetooth devices and connect.

USB Drive

To play audio files on a USB flash drive:

1. If the unit is off, press the Power button to power it on.

2. Connect your USB device (mass storage class) to the USB Port.

3. Select USB as your desired media type (described in Selecting the Media Playback Mode).

4. Select an audio file:

• When a USB flash drive is first connected, files on the root directory will be shown. Press and hold the Folder button to open to the first folder. All files within that folder will appear first. All other playable content on the flash drive will appear after. To access another folder, press and hold the Folder button again.

• To move through audio files, turn the Jog Dial on the unit.

• Press one of the Number buttons (0–9) to enter the desired track number. If the track number is two digits, press the buttons in succession (e.g., 1 then 2 for Track 12). In USB Mode, you can perform any of the following operations: • To start, resume, or pause playback, press the Play/Pause button.

• To stop playback, press the Stop button.

• To rewind or fast-forward through the track, press and hold one of the Search buttons. The track will rewind/fast-forward at 5 times the normal playback speed. To resume playback, release the button.

• To change the view mode, press the Folder/Time button.

• To select another folder or audio file, follow the steps described in Step 4 above.

• To show different track information in the display, press the Text button. It will cycle through the file name, title, album and artist.

• To select a Repeat Playback mode, press the Repeat button. It will cycle through Repeat One (the same track will repeat indefinitely), Repeat Folder (the tracks in the current folder will repeat indefinitely), Repeat All (the list of all tracks will repeat indefinitely) and Repeat Off (no tracks will repeat).

• To select the Play Mode, press the Random button. It will cycle through Random (the list of all tracks will play in a random order [for up to 256 tracks]), Random Folder (the tracks in the current folder will play in a random order) and Single Play () (the current track will play until its end and then stop.

• To change the Time Mode in the display, press the Time button. It will cycle through Elapsed (how much time has elapsed of the current track) and Remaining (how much time remains of the current track).

• To remove a USB device, gently remove it from the USB Port when it is not playing. (Removing a USB device while it is playing can damage it.) 

DVD/VCR

DVD

  1. Push DVD/VCR on the Extron switcher.
  2. The connection should come on automatically once the Extron switcher is selected to DVD/VCR

    If not click on the home button on the bottom of the

    TV.   Tap on the screen for the connection you want.

  3. Push the DVD/VHS button on the DVD/VHS deck. Be sure the DVD is selected. You should see a logo screen appear on the screen.

       4. Push the Open/Close button on the DVD/VHS deck.

       5. Insert your Disk into the try.

       6. Use the remote or the buttons on the deck to control the DVD deck. Be sure to point the remote at the deck.

       7. Be sure the DVD/VCR knob on the mixer is turned up. # 3

VHS

  1. Turn on the DVD/VHS deck.
  2. Push the DVD/VHS button on the DVD/VHS deck. Be sure the VCR is selected. You should see a blue screen.
  3. Insert your VHS tape into the machine.
  4. Use the remote or the buttons on the deck to control the VHS. Point remote at the deck.

Cassette Player

1. Turn on the Cassette player.

2.  Be sure the Cassette volume knob on the mixer is turned up. #4

3. Open the Cassette holder.

4. Insert your Cassette.

5. Use the control on the Cassette player to control the cassette.

MP3 (Plug )

1) Be sure the volume knob #2 on mixer is turned down when inserting cable into device.

2) Plug Mini audio cable into your device.

3) Turn the volume knob on the mixer back up.

4) Use the control on your device to play audio files.

5) Once finsihed please turn down the volume on the mixer before disconnecting cable and leave knob down until used again.

Turntable

1) Open lid on turntable. 

2) Put vinyle on player.

3) Be sure Vinyle player is on.

4) Set needle on Vinyle.

5) Turn volume up knob6 on Mixer.

 

 

Please shut down the system when done.

 

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SHUT DOWN THE SYSTEM WHEN YOU ARE DONE.

SPECIAL NOTE MAC USERS

If your Mac has an M1 Chip in it the HDMI connection will not run audio through the HDMI cable you will have to route your audio through your headphone jack on connect the mini audio cable to your laptops headphone jack. You can also try to restart the laptop.

If your Mac has an M2 Chip there there should be no problems.

To see what chip your computer has follow these steps.
