Conference Room instructions. (This TV is a Touch screen TV.)

 

1) Turn on the TV. Either by power button on TV or remote

2) Turn on camera using the remote Press the power button.

(Aver cam is the camera)

3) When camera has power a blue light along the side of the camera will turn on.

4) Be sure the correct source is selected.

Content

 

 When content is available, the system displays a list of available content. Otherwise, this function opens a help screen that describes how to set up content sharing using HDMI, the Polycom Content App, or an Airplay- or a Mira cast-certified device.

 

Camera opens the camera control screen. Poly Device Mode Launches Poly Device Mode, which allows you to use the system as an external camera, microphone, and speaker for your connected laptop.

Device Mode or BYOD Mode (In room Laptop)

Be sure laptop is plugged into the system.

Be sure to plug in the power cable into the laptop.

The in room laptop should be presenting to the main screen.

-If not, Press Windows + P /

The USB C power cable from the laptop power supply should be plugged into the in room laptop.   

-There is a wireless mouse and keyboard to use with this laptop.

 For Video Conferencing:

The UC settings - set to echo cancelling speakerphone for audio and Aver cam for the video camera.

 

In a  Google meet call, the camera controls and volume controls on the tc8 can control the camera swipe left to control the camera though the poly. The Aver cam camera remote will also control the camera.

 

Be sure the lid to the laptop is closed.

Wireless Present mode to present guest laptop & android or mac os devices.

 

Press Windows + P /Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)  to change from duplicate or extend mode to laptop only mode to exit the in room laptop from presenting to the Main Screen.

Alternatively, close the laptop lid.

The wireless present page will automatically switch when there is no signal from the in room laptop in device mode.

 

Presenters should connect to the unsecured wireless Internet access.

Same ip address as the Creston air media.

Type in the ip address shown on the screen.

If necessary, download the Creston wireless presenter app.

 

Air Media allows you to wirelessly present documents, photos and videos from

Your Android or iOS mobile device or laptop onto the TV. The system allows a

Single full-screen presentation or up to four shared presentations to be displayed.

First: Turn on Television and select Device mode from the TC8 screen on a swipe left

Directions for Laptops (PC/Mac):

Step 1: Connect to the University’s Wi-Fi network and open your Internet

Browser.

Step 2: Type the address on the TV screen in the URL bar.

Step 3: Download and install the Creston Air media client for your PC or Mac.

  • Alternatively to the air media app, presenters may use Mira cast to present wirelessly if this option is available.
  • On a Windows PC, Press Windows P, then select present wirelessly from the top drop down screen on the left, if this option is available.

 

Step 4: Once downloaded, installed and opened, you are prompted for the

“CODE” on the screen.

 

Step 5: Once you see that the content on your laptop device is mirrored onto the

Newline display; everything that you see on your computer screen,

Viewers will also see.

 

If you wish to invite viewers from afar to monitor your presentation, they are

Permitted to view snapshots (refreshed every 10 seconds) of the visual aspect of

Your presentation via a website.

Step 1: Provide invitees with the address on the TV screen in the URL bar. (The

String of numbers in parentheses)

Step 2: They must login the same way you did with the provided URL

 

* When finished presenting – Close and Disconnect the Air Media

Application on your device & turn off TV.
