1. Connect to the NEIU-GetConnected wireless network.

or open Safari and type in the web address:
https://npass1.neiu.edu/guest/getconnected.php and tap go.
3. Tap on the role that applies to you (Northeastern User).
4. Click on the Get Started button.
5. Enter your NetID username and password. Tap the checkbox next to “I accept...”, then tap Log In .
6. Tap on Install Certificate.
7. Allow the Configuration Profile to download.
8. If prompted, select the device to install the Certificate.
9. Tap Close to continue.
10. Tap on Install Profile.
11. Allow the Configuration Profile to download.
12. If there is a countdown for Completing configuration, wait until it has finished.
13. When Device provisioning has been completed, switch to the Settings app.

14. In the Settings app, tap on Profile Downloaded. It can also be found in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
15. Tap Install to install the profile.
16. A warning will appear regarding the “Device Enrollment”. Tap Install.
17. A warning will appear regarding the certificate “GlobalSign”. Tap Install.
18. After the profile has been installed, tap Done.
19. Go to the Settings app —> About —> Certificate Trust Settings.
20. Locate GlobalSign and tap to turn it on.
21. A warning will appear regarding the Root Certificate. Tap on Continue.
22. Go to the Settings app and select the Wi-Fi network NEIU-Secure.
Frequently Asked Questions
If your password has expired, some services such as connecting to our NEIU secured network will not work properly. To change your password, please follow the steps below:
- Go to http://neiuport.neiu.edu
- Click on the link that says “Reset Your Password”.
- Enter your current NEIUport user ID and Password.
- You may be asked to answer a series of security questions. If so, please do so and submit the answers.
- Next, click on My Accounts . You can enter your new password in the following window. Please follow the mandatory password rules listed on the page.
- Try following the instructions again to connect to the NEIU-Secure network.
I no longer want to connect to the NEIU-Secure network. How do I remove the mobile configuration profile?
- Go to Settings —> General —> VPN & Device Management
- Tap on Device Enrollment (Northeastern Illinois University Local Certificate Authority) and select Remove Profile.
