BBH 311 Media System Instructions (Hybrid, Webcast room)(SN with Mac laptop)

BBH 311

Podium instructions

1) Be sure the computer is on or not in sleep mode.

2) Touch the Crestron touch screen.

2) Give it a few seconds and home screen will appear.

HOME PAGE or Selection Screen

2) Tap the select device you would like to use.

3) If you are wanting to do Web video services. Tap on the Room PC

Tap the Conference Control ( Press to control camera and rear display)"

This will take you to the camera controls. See Conference controls further in the directions for more information.

PLEASE NOTE: Camera and Mics can only be used with PC in room.

Mics are for web services only They are not for sound reinforcement mics.

Using the room equipment without web services.

Tap the device you would like to use.

ROOM PC

1) Tap on the room PC icon and the Room pc will show up on the projector screen

2) Be sure the computer is on and out of sleep mode.

3) Desktop is set to extened view when using this desktop. Please if changed change it back.

LAPTOP HDMI

1) Connect your laptop using the guest HDMI cable.

2) Tap on the Laptop Icon on the touch screen.

USB Camera connection for guest laptops

1. Connect the USB cable to your laptop.

2. Be sure laptop is selected on Crestron screen.

3. Be sure to tap on the words Conference control (Press to control cameras and rear display)

LATPTOP VGA

1) Connect your laptop using the guest VGA cable.

2) Tap on the Laptop Icon on the touch screen.

WIRELESS PRESENTATION  ( Be sure your wireless connection is Staff lan)

Be sure to download the air media app on the app store for your device that is being used.

1) On the touch screen click on the Wireless presentation Icon.

This screen will show up.

Look on bottom of image

3) If using wireless connection type in the http address that is shown.

Note code changes after each user.

4) Type in the Code when prompted to on your device being used.

DOC CAM

1) Tap on the Doc Cam Icon.

2) Push and hold for a few seconds the Doc camera power button

3) image should show up on screen.

4) Use Zoom icon to Zoom in and out. Use auto focus to let doc cam focus for you.

5) Use Bright + to brighten and - to decrease brightness.

6) Be sure to push and hold the power button to turn off. Red is standby Blue is on.

Note Option you can select PC and launch image mate on the Elmo interaction tool box

MUTE

You can mute the image by tapping on the image mute icon RED means muted.

You can also mute the audio but tapping on the mute audio icon.

SYSTEM ICON

Use this Icon in order to mute the image on the projector or TV.

WEB CONFERENCING CONTROLS

Be Sure Room PC is on. Web services in rooms only work off of the Room Pc. Camera nor devices will work for guest laptops for these services.

1) Be sure Room Pc is on

2) Be sure PC monitor is on.

3) Log into your zoom or google meets account. ALWAYS RUN A TEST OF CAMERA AND SOUND TO BE SURE EQUIPMENT IS WORKING CORRECTLY.

4) Touch the Room PC icon on the touch screen.

5) Touch the "Conference Controls (Press to control camera and rear display)"

This room has 2 cameras in it. CAMERA 1 (Instructor camera). This Camera is aimed toward the front of the room to over the lecture area. CAMERA 2 ( Audience camera).

This camera is aimed toward the students.

6) Tap on which ever camera you would like to control.

7) Use the arrow icons on the touch panel to control the camera. Up to tilt camera up. Down to tilt  camera down. Left to move camera right. Right to move camera left. Use Zoom + to Zoom in and - to zoom out.

8) If you wish to set up preset for the camera aim the camera into the position you want then hold down the preset button you want it to be for 5 seconds and now it will remember the position of the camera you can do this for all 5 presets.

9) When you push the confidence monitor icons this will display the device for the class room only and not on the web. It will show up on both TV and projector.

10) To project image through the web you must do this through the service being used. Example to have the doc cam shown through the web on zoom you have to go to the share tab on zoom and select Doc cam.

11) To switch camera on web all you have to do is hit the camera that you want and the system will switch the camera for you on the web program.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO LOG OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT WHEN DONE AND TO TURN OFF THE SYSTEM WHEN FINISHED.

TURN OFF SYSTEM

1) Touch the power icon  in black in the upper right corner of the touch screen.

2) Please remember to be sure Doc cam is turned off. Red light off blue light on.

3) Confirm shut down

4) Tap Yes to confirm.

When using a Mac with an M1 chip. You will come across audio issues when trying to play a video through the HDMI connection. Restart the laptop
