Human Resources Training Room Lectern Instructions

•  The remote control for all functions is called the TOUCH PANEL, which is installed in the lectern.This is what the TOUCH PANEL screen will look like when the system is off.

• Sometimes the screen is in sleep mode and will be blank until you touch the screen

• You must touch the screen on the TOUCH PANEL to start the system.

 

SOURCE SELECTION: The TOUCH PANEL screen will display the following options

• PRESENTATION MODE

o You will be able to select one of 4 computer sources

MAIN PC – LAPTOP – HDMI 1 – HDMI 2

• If you select PC, Turn the PC on.

• To logon to the PC, simply click the right Arrow at the login screen. DO NOT use a password.
  • A Few Notes on NOVELL:
    • If you wish to logon to NOVELL, AFTER YOU HAVE LOGGED ON TO THE PC, click onto the (Show hidden icons arrow) in lower right-hand corner of the desktop, then RIGHT click the red N logo.
    • Make sure that you use the correct User name, password, Tree & Server.
    • After you have logged on to NOVELL, got to START, then COMPUTER to see your network drives.
• If you wish to use LAPTOP or HDMI 1 or 2, connect your device to the cables provided and press your selection on the TOUCH PANEL. Cables are labeled accordingly. There is also an Internet cable to use.
  • When connecting a laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN + F8 or  + P (Select Mirror image).  If these options do not work you might have to to to Graphic display options and may need further help.  If so contact us at the number below.

• BLU-RAY PLAYER

1. To select the Blu-Ray player for display, use the BLU-RAY icon in the upper-left hand corner
   • The Blu-Ray player will play DVDs or CDs also
2. A new menu screen will appear with disc menu options:
3. Use DVD Eject to open and close the player disc drawer
   • Use the corresponding buttons to Play – Stop – Rewind – Fast Forward – Skip – & navigate Menu options

SCREEN SELECTION:

1. Once you select a presentation source or Blu-Ray, you need to select WHERE you want it to display.

 

• VOLUME CONTROL

1. Touch + or – on the TOUCH PANEL
2. Or MUTE
3. Changing the input and screen selection may change your audio source.

FOLLOW THIS RULE: The last source selected will be the source of audio that will be amplified once you select your display screen.

 

SHUT DOWN SEQUENCE

1. Please shut down Computer before you leave
2. Please shut down Lectern Media System before you leave
   • The SHUTDOWN button in located on the bottom right corner of the TOUCHPANEL screen.

1. After you press SHUTDOWN on the TOUCH PANEL, you will need to confirm shutdown.

1. Once you press “YES” the shutdown sequence will initiate into a cool down period for the system.
