Conference Room instructions (Touch screen TV )
1) Turn on the TV. Either by power button on TV or remote.
 
                                TV 3 NewLine 
OPS – On Board Computer –(IS PART OF NEWLINE TV) for zoom, google meets and hybrid meetings or in room presentations.
If it is not on when you turn on the TV, push the OPS button on the TV remote.
The wireless mouse and keyboard is available for use with the on board PC. Labeled NEWLINE OPS keyboard
 
LAPTOP on PODIUM ( Only for in room presentation. NOT FOR ZOOM)
HDMI -1 HDMI cable plugged into the laptop.
Select HDMI 1 on source for newline, HDMI 1 on back left TV (TV 1)
Audio should be set on laptop to hdmi audio out (may show as Toshiba or newline).
Volume up or down on the newline tv remote.
The laptop doesn’t connect to the camera and microphone. Use the OPS on board PC for zoom.
 
When connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either
pressing FN+F8 or + P (Select Mirror image). Laptop should be on and
logged in. If these options do not work you might have to go to graphic
display options (right click desktop) and may need further help. If so please
contact us at the number below.
 
Back Wall TV Monitors – Use the remote labeled back tvs to turn the back monitors on/off.
Monitor on left (TV 1)input will be HDMI – duplicate or extended view of the OPS newline HYBRID cart
Monitor on right will be DVI – duplicate or extended view of Laptop.
(Monitors above newline are not active)
TV 1 is for in room presentatons (HDMI 1)
TV 2 is for ZOOM Presentations (DVI )
Quick summary for hybrid meetings:
Turn on newline monitor, select OPS input. Fac-staff login on newline (no password)
Sign into neiuport or neiu with zoom or google blue jeans, or zoom app meeting link.
Select avercam as instructor facing camera, stem audio as microphone soundbar.
Turn on left back monitor to dvi input to see far side (extended mode from OPS newline)
 
NOTE: The laptop computer (HDMI 1 on back left tv (TV 1) and HDMI 1 input ) is for in
room presentations, it has a built in webcam, but not connected to the Avercam or stem sound bar.
 
 
Web services (OPS)
Be sure to be on OPS input if using on board computer.
Put finger on screen in bottom middle and swipe up or use wireless mouse.
DO NOT TYPE IN LOG IN OR PASSWORD (i.e novell) Just hit  by password for enter.
(If you need novell, login to novell through a browser. The OPS is on staff lan.)
1) On the TV’s built in computer go to a search engine (Chrome or firefox) by double taping (or mouse
click) the tv search engine icon(chrome or fire fox).
If there is a zoom icon double tap the zoom icon and when zoom loads log in.
2) Touch the search engine address bar. A keypad screen shows up. Touch the Tv on the keypad and
type neiu-edu.zoom.us
Alternatively there is a wireless mouse & Keyboard on the conference table
3) Use your log in to log into zoom.
4) Be sure to run a test of the camera and the mic to be sure the camera and mic on the system is
working. You do this by going to zoom test or once logged in go to meetings, then go to personal room
and click start. On bottom of screen click on start.
Click open zoom meeting on drop down box.
Click test speakers and microphone.
Pop box will show up and a sound will be played if you hear sound click yes if not select different options
in drop down box.
- Microphone & Speaker will be Stem. Mic test box will show up
Say a few words then wait. You will hear your voice repeat what was said click yes if not select different
options in drop down box.
Click end test.
Click join with computer audio
On lower left of screen, you will see a camera icon with an up arrow. This sometime show as muted
Touch the camera icon. This will unmute the camera. Camera will be Aver cam.
If the camera does not show touch the up arrow by the camera and be sure the correct camera is
selected Camera will be Aver cam or Polycom. Use the Arrow by Camera to change between cameras.

2) When camera has power a blue light along the side of the camera is on.
Use the remote to control the camera. The camera can be set to auto tracking or a static shot. With
static shots presets can be set on preset 1-9 for a pre-framed shot without having to manually zoom in
or pan.
 
Use the arrow keys to move the image left or right or up and down.
To use auto tracking use auto button on the remote. This will enable the auto tracking features on the
camera. The auto tracking senses movement
The auto features are auto tracking which will track any person moving within the cameras view. It also
auto focus and auto zooms.
To Disable the Auto feature push the Man (manual button on the remote or any of the control buttons
for the camera)
You can use the camera presets to set a camera view you would to have the camera remember.
Hold the set button and press a numbers on the remote. This will set the preset. To clear the preset hold
the clr button to clear the preset.
Note The remote goes to standby mode after a brief period of inactivity. Press a button to wake it up.
 
Polycom : Front facing camera. Camera selection only, no camera controls. Located on Newline TV
This camera is a secondary Camera for zoom. Use this when wanting to show the student in the room on zoom. In zoom Select this camera if wanting to show Student.
 
Newline Cast (DNS) ONLY FOR IN ROOM USE and ONE WAY WEBINARS.
Go to the Newline onboard computer or OPS. Push OPS button on remote.
PC Log in screen will appear DO NOT ENTER A PASSWORD. Just hit the arrow next the box.
Window system will start up.
Go to the Newline cast Icon. Tap it twice. Or double click using the mouse.
Newline cast will start up.

Note: if you are planning to do multi view grid we suggest that you be sure to set DNS to Moderator
mode. Do this by going into the settings icon. Touch system Icon.

Tap the Session management and touch moderator to On. (This will give you control of who is
presenting at any given time.
 
If you do not have the app on your device. Go to a search engine such as google chrome. In the address
bar type displaynote.com/join
This will bring up a page that will direct you to an app store
Go to app store and download app.
If you already have the app just open up the app.
Open the DN app.
Once the DN app opens you will see the following screen.

Type in the Session number on the TV into the app box that says Session ID.
Enter in a name.
The TV will now connect your device to the TV.

Single presenter at a time. Go to the Tv and touch the name of the presenter you want to present on the
TV. An invite will be sent to the device and the presenter will have to tap/click to share screen.
Grid view If doing multiple views at the same time click on grid view

Click up to 4 people to invite to share their presentations. As above each will have to accept the share
screen invite.
Sound does not go through on DNS.
When finished presenters should stop share on their device. And the moderator should exit the session.
 
When finished tap on exit grid view.
When done with Newline cast/DN tap Exit.
 
THIS ROOM HAS 3 TVs
 
Power down
Highly suggested to logout of your nmail, gmail and zoom / conference accounts when
finished.
REMINDER HIT THE POWER BUTTON 2 times to shut down for Newline TV. For other TV use remote to turn off Back wall TVs.
 
There is a freeze program on the On board PC which will not save files when restarted.
 
When powering down the TV push the power button once and then a second time to confirm that
you wish to shut down the TV. The computer will shut down with the TV.
