LWH 2005 Media Systems Instructions (Crestron,Smart Projector, NEC Projector)

LWH 2005

Quick guide

1. Turn turn on or off the system use the Crestron touch screen

2. To select device touch Appropriate Icon for device you want use.

 

Podium Instructions

1. Touch the Crestron screen anywhere and the screen will light up.

Welcome screen will show up

2. Touch screen anywhere again.

3.  Push Icon of desired device.

  • Laptop

                      ♦  VGA connection

  1. Connect the mini audio cable to your headphone jack on your computer.
  2. Connect the VGA cable loacted on the podium to your laptop.
  3. Connect the Ethernet cable for wired internet connection.

     4.  Turn on your laptop.

     5.  Push Laptop VGA on the Crestron Select Source screen.

     6.  Push Destination Icon on Crestron touch screen. Either MAIN PROJ or SMART PROJ.

  When Connecting a Laptop Please remember to miror your image by either pressing FN + F8 or  + P (Select Mirror image).  If these options do not work you might have to go to Graphic display options and may need further help.  If so contact us at the number below.

                       ♦  HDMI connection

  1. Connect the HDMI Cable provided into your laptop.
  2. Turn ON your Laptop
  3. Push Laptop HDMI on the Crestron Select Source screen.
  4. Push Destination Icon on Crestron touch screen. Either MAIN PROJ or SMART PROJ.

 

  • Main Laptop (Login screen may need you to enter password.  There is no Password just hit enter. If Login has been changed try this log in LWH-2005 and hit enter for password)

 

  1. Be sure computer is turned ON.
  2. Be sure computer is pluged in. 
  3. Push Room PC on Crestron touch screen.

SYSTEM RACK (Located under Podium)

  • DVD/VHS
    • DVD
      1. Push DVD/VHS Icon on the Select Source screen.

   2.  Push the POWER button on the Crestron DVD/VCR control screen.

   3.  Push the Projector Icon you want the image to go to. Either MAIN PROJ or SMART PROJ.

   4.  Push the DVD/VCR Icon on the Crestron touch screen. For DVD is should show a DVD image on the screen.

5.  Push the OPEN/CLOSE Icon on the Crestron touch screen. The tray will pop out.

6.  Insert the DVD into the tray. DVD/VHS is located in Rack under podium.

7.  Push the OPEN/CLOSE Icon on the Crestron touch screen.

8.  Use the Crestron to control the Deck to Play,Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind, Skip back, Skip Forward, Menu, System Menu, Subtitles (If available on DVD).

  • VHS
  1. Push DVD/VHS Icon on the Select Source screen.
  2. Push the Power button on the Crestron DVD/VCR control screen.
  3. Push the Projector Icon you want the image to go to. Either MAIN PROJ or SMART PROJ.
  4. Push the DVD/VCR Icon on the Crestron touch screen. For VHS Projected image should be blue.
  5. Insert your VHS tape into player.
  • Projectors
    • .Choose the projector that you perfer to show your content on.  You will see the message "Projector is warming up "
  • Projector with screen
  • Smart projector (White board)

♦ BOTH PROJECTORS ( NOTE: Technically you can use both screens to display two different sources. Example, you can show your laptop on the left screen and the podium PC on the SMART projector.

  • Select the second projector that you want to show a unique source onto
  • Next select your second source
  • The room volume that you hear will always be the LAST SOURCE SELECTED.
  • Each projector icon will list the source that is displayed below the icon in RED.

SMART Projector ( Smart projectors has special functions to allow professors to annotate on the projected content with the pens provided.  These functions only work with the Podium PC/SMART projector.  For training on this technology, please contact Kenneth Beyer @ ext. 4463

Volume Control is located to the top/right side of the screen.

Use the HOME icon to get back to main screen

Turn the Podium OFF (Always do this):

  1. Log off the computer. -or- Discoonect your personal device.
  2. Press the Power off Icon on the upper/left of the Crestron screen.
  3. Press YES button to confirm the shut down when prompted.  This will automatically turn off both projectors or TVs.

PLEASE SHUT DOWN THE PROJECTORS AT THE END OF CLASS!

Be sure to turn off any other equipment that you used.
