Portable Cart connection Instructions

Use Silver remote to turn on the projector

Source Selection

1. The only input that you will ever need to select on the silver remote is HDMI.

a. All switching of sources is done automatically or via your plugging in devices.

2. To use the Blu-Ray player

a. The Blue-Ray player will typically default to your projector screen unless it is off.

b. To turn on the Blu-Ray player. The ON button is on the top/fron of the player.

c. Special menu options are available on the Blu-Ray player remote control.

3. HDMI Laptop connection

a. To use a laptop's HDMI connection, connect the provided HDMI cable to the PC.

b. Even if the Blu-Ray player is on, this HDMI signal will override the Blu-Ray player.

c. The HDMI cable also sends audio to the projector. Yet, you may need to check your system preferences to verify that audio is routed to HDMI or Crestron.

**Macintosh laptops sometimes require an adapter to connect to either HDMI or VGA cables**

4. VGA Laptop connection

a. To use a laptops VGA connection, connect the provided VGA cale to your Laptop.

b. Use the 3.5mm / Mini Audio cable to your head phone jack on your Laptop

Verify in your system preferences that audio is routed to your headphone or external speaker.

c. Turn off the Blu-Ray player. The ON/OFF button is on the top front of the player.

i. If the Blu-Ray player is on, it will always override the VGA connection !

Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement pane select “Mirror displays”

NOTE: If you do not have VGA you will need to get your own adapter. Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adaters that are available and will have to purchase.

5. Document Camera connection

a. The device can zoom in on objects to make them larger for the students to view. All zoom focus and other camera capabilities are controlled via the operations panel on the ELMO. Many other feature are accessible by reviewing the specific on line instructions for ELMO-TT-12

6. Troubleshooting:

a. Each input is assigned a number in the black CRESTRON box on the shelf next to the Blu-Ray player. Each number has an LED light that shows signal to that input. Typically the following applies: 1.= Doc Cam, 2 = Blu-Ray player, 3 = HDMI, 4= VGA. If you do not see a light, then no input is detected and you hae a connection issue. Otherwise, the input being diplayed shines green, and any other source waiting to be selected shines orange. If you need another input to display, push the designated button (if Orange) on the black box and you can switchto your device.

PLEASE SHUT DOWN PROJECTOR AT THE END OF CLASS

You will need to press the power button a second time to confirm shutdown sequence.
