Below look for the topic you want to find out about.

Audio

If you are not getting audio there are a few things you can check before asking for help.

1) Be sure the proper cables are plugged in. If connecting a laptop be sure the Mini audio cable is plugged into your head phone jack.

2) Be sure all sources have their audio up. If this is a program that you are using to play something there are several sound controls on a laptop.  For example if playing through You tube it has a player program that come up it has a volume bar to control volume for what ever you are playing.

3) Be sure to make sure that the volume through you lap top itself is up as well. This can be found by clicking on the audio icon on your task bar (windows 7). Slide the dot on the bar up or down. Up or to the right to raise the volume. To lower volume down move down  or to the left.

Left Click on the Sound/Audio icon.

Left Click on Mixer.

Be sure that the audio that you are trying to get has the sound level buttons raised up and that the sound icon is blue and not muted. Muted look like this below.

NO Audio HDMI

1) This can be several problems that you might have. The first problem is usually the audio is not routed correctly through software through your laptop.  HDMI normally cares video and audio with it.  If you are connecting your laptop through an adapter and the adapter is a VGA cable this is a good possibility of where your problem is at. VGA only caries Video and not audio, this is why with VGA you have to plug in the mini audio cable. To solve this issue you have to go into your laptop and route the sound from your HDMI to you headphone jack.

With Windows 7 go sound icon on the task bar.

Right click on Sound icon.

Select playback devices.

Right click playback devices.

Be sure that play back tab is select.

On the play back tab be sure that headphones are checked.

This screen might look a little different than your depending on the laptops devices.

You can choose to make this the default so you do not have to do this anymore but if you do then the sound will not go out to your hdmi. You would have to go through the process again and route it through HDMI if you wanted sound to go through your HDMI output again. If you do not want this as the default then just click OK. If you choose to set this as default then click default and then OK.

Image problems.

NOT MIRRING OR DUPLICATE IMAGE

If you follow our steps and our directions did not help then your laptops short cut keys might not be activated. The short cut keys are FN + F8 or the Windows symbol and P. Try the steps below to see if this will help you.

Another Option for mirroring to try if the options above does not work is to follow the steps below.

On your Task bar on your computer screen go to the far right and look for your intel graphics card option. It may look like this.

Left click on the icon.

This screen will come up. Put the mouse over Intel HD Graphics icon and right click.

The Screen below will pop up then go to Graphic properties and  Left click on Graph Options go to Output to

Go to the type of display you want which is usually Clone Display (or Mirror or Duplicate) This will show your image on the laptop and the projector.
