QUICK SHEETS

1. Use the Crestron touch screen to start the system

2. Select the device you wish to use

Podium Mic (for sound reinforcement and zoom)(Ceiling Mic is only for online web services.)

1. The Podium mic volume is controlled through the Crestron touch screen.

2. To mute Mic tap the podium Mic Icon.

MAIN DESKTOP COMPUTER With DVD player.

1. Select where you want the image to go. Projection screen in front or Rear Monitor

DVD

Use the DVD player in the computer to play your DVDs

GUEST LAPTOP

Connect your laptop to the HDMI CABLE or use on the included adapters in the room

1. Select where you would like the image to go. Projection screen in front of Rear monitor.

Air media (Open wifi)

1. Select where you would like the image to go. Projection screen in front of Rear monitor.

2, Connect to air media. Be sure you are on the same Wifi or network connection as airmedia 

Doc Camera

1. Unfold doc camera

2. Turn on Doc camera.

3. Click on Image Icon on main desktop computer.

Web casting ( ZOOMING)

1. Be sure to select correct camera. Select ALF SD IC Camera.

LOG OFF OF VERA

If using the desktop computer remember to log off of your Vera account.

 SHUT DOWN

1. Push the Power off icon on the Crestron touch screen.

2. Push the CONFIRM icon once screen appears to confirm shutdown

 

Detailed Podium Instructions

Crestron touch screen

1, Touch the Crestron screen. Welcome screen will pop up.

VIDEO SCREEN

This is the first screen to pop up when system is ready.

Use this to select what image you want to what projection device.

3. Select where you want what image to what screen.

Guest LAPTOP connection

Main Desktop computer

1 Be sure the computer is on. The computer is located in the podium.

2 Be sure both monitors are on. 

NOTE the monitor on the Left is a touch screen monitor.

3. Select where you want the computers image to show on.

EXTENDED

 If wanting extended (Extended is a window means treating multiple monitors as a single, larger desktop workspace, allowing you to move windows and applications seamlessly between them.

Mirror

Just touch PC on both or either screen to mirror that image to the projection device.

4. Log onto the computer using your NEIU log in. If you are a guest speaker and not part of the University community you will have to go to the help desk and ask for a temporary log in.

GUEST LAPTOP CONNECTION

1. Turn on your laptop

2. Connect the hdmi or use and a provided adapter to connect the hdmi or hdmi with adapter to your computer.

3. Select source you want he Main desktop image to go to.

  • When connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN + F8 or  + P (Select mirror image). If these options do not work you might have to go to Graphic Display options and may need further help. If so contact us at the number below.

AirMedia 

1. Touch the Air media icon on the crestron touch screen.

2. Select where you would like the image to go to.

3. Connect to the Air media device.

DOC CAMERA ( Doc camera is used through the computer only)

1. Unfold unit.

2. On main desktop computer click on Elmo Icon.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO FOLD THE UNIT WHEN FINISHED.

AUDIO

Use this screen to adjust the Mic and volume for the speakers in the room.

4. Use the the Crestron touch screen to adjust levels.

CAMERA

This Screen is used to adjust the camera located in the back of the room

5) If doing online and using the camera use the Crestron touch screen to control the camera.

UTILITIES

Use this to Temporarily turn off the image on the projector or Monitor in the back of the room.

 SHUT DOWN

1. Push the Power off icon on the Crestron touch screen.

2. Push the CONFIRM icon once screen appears to confirm shutdown

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SHUT DOWN THE SYSTEM WHEN FINISHED.
