Podium instructions

To view any media device

  • Power up projector by using Grey remote.
    • Press (RED) button (on remote)

Select Source

The only input you will ever need to select is HDMI on the projector.

All Switching of sources is done automatically or via your plugging in of devices.

  • Laptop = HDMI (Input 1 on Crestron )
    1. Connect the VGA cable to your laptop.
    2. Connect the mini audio cable to your laptops headphone jack.
    3. For Wired internet connection plug in the Ethernet cable into your laptop.
    4. If you need help hooking up to our wireless access please click on the link Secured Wireless access or for General wireless information go to Wireless Wi-Fi/ VPNI

         5. If you wish to use the laptop, connect it to the external cables provided

          6. Be sure the Blu Ray player is off. If the Blu Ray player is on it will always override the VGA connections.

  • When connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN+F8 or  + P (Select Mirror image). If these options do not work you might have to go to graphic display options and may need further help.  If so please contact us at the number below.
  • Laptop HDMI = HDMI (on projector)  (Input 1 on Crestron )
    1. Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop.
    2. Turn on your laptop.

                   Be sure your image is mirrored an the audio on your laptop  is routed through your HDMI

  • BLU RAY PlAYER = Projector HDMI (Crestron Input 2)
    1. Turn on the Blu Ray player you should see an image on the screen.
  • Push the Open/Close button on the Blu Ray deck.
  • Insert your disk into the tray.
  • Close the tray by pushing the Open/Close button again or gently push the tray.
  • Use the remote or the buttons on the deck to control the Blu Ray player. Point the remote at the Blu Ray deck.
  • Volume control
    • Use volume control buttons on remote
  • Power OFF
    • To turn off the projector please push the RED power button on the remote. Hit again to confirm the power off of the projector
    • Please remember to turn off any other devices that you might of turned on.
  • Trouble Shooting

    Each input is assigned a number in the black Crestron box on the shelf net to the Blu-Ray Player. Each number has an LED light that shows signal to that input. Typically the following applies: 1=HDMI , 2=Blu Ray player, 3= VGA. If you do not see a light then no input is detected and you have a connection issue. Otherwise, the input being displayed shines green, and any other source waiting to be selected shines orange. If you need another input to display, push the designated button (if orange) on the black box and you can switch to your device

  • Volume control
    • Use volume control buttons on remote
  • Power OFF
    • To turn off the projector please push the RED power button on the remote. Hit again to confirm the power off of the projector
    • Please remember to turn off any other devices that you might of turned on.

 

Please shut down projector at end of class!
