Podium instructions

To view any media device

  •  Power up projector by using Grey remote.
  1. Press (RED) button (on remote)
  •  Volume control
  1.  Use volume control buttons on remote
  • Select Source

Be sure the Extron switcher is on the correct input.

1=DVD/VHS 2= Doc cam

  • Desktop computer

1. Be sure to turn on the desktop computer. Be sure the monitor is on. When finished please turn off the monitor.

2. Select DVI (on remote)

  • Laptop (VGA)

1. Turn on your Laptop. You might want to plug the power for your laptop.

2.Connect the VGA cable to your laptop.

3. Connect the Mini Audio cable to your laptops headphone jack.

4.  Select Computer 1 (on remote)

  • When connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN+F8 or  + P (Select Mirror image). If these options do not work you might have to go to graphic display options and may need further help. If so please contact us at the number below.
  • Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement panel select “Mirror displays”

3. For Wired Internet connection plug in the Ethernet cable into your laptop.

4.If you hook up to our wireless access please click on the link General Wireless access. If you are trying to connect to Unsecured wireless access click on this link Open Wireless access. We suggest this link.

NOTE: If you do not have a VGA port you will need to get your own adapter. Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adapters that are available and will have to purchase.

IF you need help finding the adapter you need. Please set up a meeting with us and we will be happy to help you find the adapter you need

  • DVD/VCR

1. Select Video (on remote)

2. Be sure EXtron switcher is on input 1

2. Make Sure the power is ON

3. To play a DVD, select the INPUT SELECT button (on DVD/VCR remote) until you can see the DVD image.

  1. To play a VHS Tape, select the INPUT SELECT button (on DVD/VCR remote) until you can see a blue screen

 

 

 

  • Document Camera (Extron Switcher input 2)
  1. Turn on the Doc camera
  2. Be sure Extron Switcher is on input 2
  3. When finished please push the power switch on Doc cam

Hybrid web carts directions

In this room the hybrid cart is projected to the front of the room please be sure the projector is on Digital link and the Iogear is selected to Input 3.

Use the keyboard and mouse marked Newline/Hybrid cart to enter information to the Hybrid cart.

Web cart instructions. (This TV is a Touch screen TV.)

 

1) Turn on the TV. Either by the power button on TV or remote. Aim remote at power button area on TV.

Remotes are stored in storage bin on TV cart or at the podium. PLEASE RETURN REMOTE WHEN DONE.

2) Turn on camera using the remote. Press the power button.

(Vaddio is the camera)(aim remote at camera)

3) When camera has power a white light along the side of the camera will turn on.

4) Be sure the correct source is selected.

On board PC.

On the remote, be sure to select OPS (on board computer)

If it is not on when you turn on the TV push the OPS button on the TV remote.

PROJECTING Zoom IMAGE TO PROJECTOR 

To Send image from the OPS PC cart to this projector so the class can see: 

Power on the projector Select Computer on Projector. This is the same for the laptop. Disconnect laptop VGA cable if pluggged into the Laptop at the podium. The projector should switch to the image from the OPS computer on the cart to the projector. The OPS can send the signal Duplicate or extended desktop. To use the VGA to the projector without the cart Laptop to projector only Turn off the Cart Monitor. The signal should switch to laptop display on the projector.

NOTE: The Projector currently doesnt have the ability to display an HDMI or airmedia from the cart. Only from the OPS on board PC.

HDMI (you can use this to connect your own laptop.) hdmi 2

1) Be sure the correct HDMI port is selected. Push HDMI button on remote 2 times. HDMI 1 is first. HDMI 2 is second.

2) Connect the HDMI Cable provided into your laptop. This is located on the or in the shelf on the TV cart.

3) Turn ON your Laptop

4) If you wish to let the Newline interact with your laptop plug in the USB cable provided. This is located on the or in the shelf on the TV cart. This will not connect the camera to your laptop. This will allow the Tvs touch screen feature to act like a mouse to your laptop.

When Connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror/duplicate your image by either pressing FN + F8 or

Web services

1) Be sure the Tv is on. If using Onboard computer push the OPS button on the remote. The PC button on remote does not mean the Onboard computer on the TV.

2) Put finger on middle of screen and swipe up.

3) Do not use any log in with name or password just tap the arrow on the password box.

4) On the TV’s built in computer go to a search engine by touching the tv where the search engine icon is located. Touch the tv where zoom icon is twice give it a few seconds to start..  If there is no zoom icon go to a search engine and on the address bar type neiu-edu.zoom.us.

5) Touch the search engine address bar. A keypad screen will show up. Touch the Tv on the keypad and type neiu-edu.zoom.us or zoom log in.

6) Use your log in to log into zoom.

7) Be sure to run a test of the camera and the mic to be sure the camera and mic on the system is working.

Remember  to log out of your account when you are finished.

 

Camera

Use the remote to control the camera. The lens on the camera is a stationary lens. The camera moves by digital moving and zooming.

Use the arrow keys to move image left or right or up and down.

To use auto tracking use auto button on the remote. This will enable the auto features on the camera.

The auto features are auto tracking which will track any person moving within the cameras view. It also auto focus and auto zooms.

To Disable the Auto feature push the Man (manual button on the remote or any of the control buttons for the camera)

You can use the camera presets to set a camera view you would like to have the camera remember.

Hold the set button while pushing one of the number buttons for a few seconds. The camera will now remember that view.

Push the button for the saved view and the camera will go to the preset views you have saved.

Note the remote goes to standby mode after a brief period of inactivity. Press a button to wake it up.

 

Newline Cast / Display note

Go to the Newline onboard computer or OPS. Push OPS button on remote.

Put finger on middle bottom of screen and swipe up.

Log in screen will appear DO NOT ENTER A PASSWORD. Just hit the arrow next the box.

Window system will start up.

Go to the Newline cast Icon. Tap it twice.

Newline cast will start up.

Note: if you are planning to do multi view grid we suggest that you be sure to set DNS to Moderator mode. Do this by going into the settings icon. Touch system Icon.

If you do not have the app on your device. Go to a search engine such as google chrome. In the address bar type  displaynote.com/join

This will bring up a page that will direct you to an app store

Go to app store and download app.

If you already have the app just open up the app.

 

Open the DN app.

Once the DN app opens you will see the following screen.

Type in the Session number on the TV into the app box that says Session ID.

Enter in a name.

The TV will now connect your device to the TV.

Tap on the name you wish to have present. Tap invite.

The presenter will have to accept the invite.

Your presenter can now share there devices pic, mirror image, files. You can have a Max of 6 waiting presenters.

Presenters need to remember to disconnect their device when done presenting.

If doing several Presenters go to the settings and tap on settings.

Tap on session management. Select Moderator mode. Set to on.

Once set tap on x on upper right of pop up window.

Have presenters log into DN(display note).

Tap on Grid

Tap the names you want to join.

This will allow you to have a max of 4 presenters at a time at the same time. (Sound will not work with this option)

Presenters will have to accept to log on.

Once done presenters will need to disconnect for DN when finished or the moderator can tap the x in the upper right corner of presenters box.

If wanting to add a new presenter tap on the name you wish to add.

When finished tap on exit grid view. 

When done with Newline cast/DN tap Exit.

Power down

When powering down the TV push the power button once and then a second time to confirm that you wish to shut down the TV. The computer will shut down with the TV.

Please shut down projector at end of class

• To turn off projector, press the power OFF button.

• You will need to press once again to confirm.

  • TV Hit Power button 2 times to shut down TV

• Please turn off the main power to any other device that you might have turned on.

PLEASE TURN OFF PROJECTOR and TV AT END OF CLASS

Please shut down projector at end of class!
To turn off the projector please push the RED power button on the remote. Hit again to confirm
the power off of the projector

  •  Please remember to turn off any other devices that you might of turned on.
