CBT 119 Media Systems Instructions

Podium Connection Instructions

1. Push the Power button on the remote control.

• Blue Ray Player ( Digital Link #5)
  1. Turn on the Blue ray player.  The On button is located on the deck in the top front of the player.
  2. Push the Digital Link button on projector remote.
  3. Use the remote control to control the Blue ray player deck

Note: The Blue ray player can also play DVDs and CDs.

• Laptop (HDMI)
  1. Plug in the provided HDMI cable to your laptop

       2. If the Blue ray player is ON the HDMI Signal will override the Blue ray player.

• Laptop (VGA)
  1. Plug in the provided VGA cable to your laptop
  2. Plug in the mini audio cable to your laptops headphone jack.
  3. Connect the Ethernet cable to your laptop for wired internet access.
  4. If you hook up to our wireless access please click on the link General Wireless access.  If you are trying to connect to the Unsecured wireless access click on this link Open wireless access. We suggest this link

      4. Be sure the Blue ray player is OFF. If the Blue ray player is on it will always override the VGA connection.

      5.  Turn on the Power on your laptop.

•   When Connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN + F8 or  + P (Select Mirror image).  If these options do not work you might have to go to Graphic display options and may need further help. If so contact us at the number below.

• Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement pane select “Mirror displays”

  NOTE: If you do not have VGA you will need to get your own adapter. Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adapters that are available and will have to purchase.

  IF you need help finding the adapter you need to please set up a meeting with us and we will be happy to help you find the adapter you need

Turning off the system

1. Please remember to turn off the projector at the end of class. Push the Power button on the remote control.

2. Push the power button a second time to confirm shut down.

Please remember to turn off all other equipment you might have turned on.

PLEASE SHUT DOWN Projector at the end of class
