BBH 318 Media Systems Instructions (Panasonic, Hitachi, Desktop, Blueray)

Podium Instructions

  1. Turn on the Panasonic projector with remote by push the Power button on the remote.
  2. Push HDMI on remote.

  1. On the Hitachi be sure the power is ON. On the Hitachi.  It is the button marked Standby/ON

HITACHI TRANSMITTER

  1. Be sure the HDMI Light just above the power button is selected. If not remove the cover on the lower right, push the button that says HDMI. This should now light up on the top. Replace the cover.
  2. The Receiver located on the projector should go to a blue light.  If it is a red light the receiver is in a standby mode and the power button may have to be pushed. If you need help with this call us as the number below. Be patient it does take time for this changing light process to happen.

LAPTOP (VGA)

1. Plug the VGA cable provided into your laptop.

2. Plug the mini cable into your laptops head phone jack.

3.For Wired internet connection plug in the Ethernet cable into your laptop.

4. If you hook up to our wireless access please click on the link General Wireless access. If you are trying to connect to the Unsecured wirelss access click on this link Open Wireless access. We suggest this link.

5. Push the COMPUTER 1 button on the Hitachi Transmitter. Light above Computer 1 will go green.

6. Turn on your Laptop.

  • When connecting a laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN + F8 or  + P (Select Mirror image).  If these options do not work you might have to go to Graphic Display options and may need further help.  If so contact us at the number below.
  • Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement panel select “Mirror displays”

LAPTOP(HDMI 2)

  1. Plug in the HDMI cable

                2. Push HDMI 2 on Hitachi transmitter.  Light should go green.

                3. Turn on your laptop.

NOTE: If you do not have VGA or HDMI you will need to get your own adapter. Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adaters that are available and will have to purchase.

Desktop

  1. Make sure the Monitor for the desktop is on.
  2. Make sure the computers power is on.
  3. Push the COMPUTER 2 button on the Hitachi Transmitter. Light about Computer 2 will go green

BLU RAY (HDMI 1)

Note: Blu ray players also plays DVDS and CDs.

  1. Make sure the power for the DVD player is ON.
  2. Push the HDMI 1 button on the Hitachi transmitter. The light above HDMI 1 will go green.
  3. Use the remote to open the tray to the Blue Ray player.
  4. Insert disk.
  5. Use the remote to control the Blue Ray deck. Aim remote at deck.
  • Volume
    1. There are several ways to control the volume for this room.  We would suggest using the projector remote to control the volume. The volume on the remote is located on right side of the projector remote.
    2. The Hitachi also has a button on the lower right to control volume.
    3. If you are having problems with sound make sure the levels on both spots are raised up.
    4. MUTE the projector remote has a Mute as well as the Hitachi please be sure these are UNMUTED.
    5. If using Mute please remember to UNMUTE when you are finished.
  • SHUT DOWN
    1. PLEASE REMEMBER TO DO THESE STEPS ALWAYS AT THE END OF YOUR CLASS
    2. Turn off any of the devices that you turned on.
    3. Push the Standby/ON button on the Hitachi Transmitter. The light should go to and orange red color.
    4. Turn off the projector by pushing the RED Power button.
    5. Push a second time to confirm Shut down.

PLEASE SHUT DOWN PROJECTOR AT THE END OF CLASS
