Podium instructions

 

To view any media device

1. Power up projector by using Grey remote.

2. Press (RED) button (on remote)

Select Source

             1. Select Digital link on remote

Extron Switcher box

Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Desktop computer ( Projector )

1. For Projector use please push Digital Link  on the remote to project the desktop.

2. Be sure Input 2 on extron switcher is selected.

3. Be sure the Monitor is turned on.

4. Be sure the desktop is turned on.

HDMI LAPTOP/Cable (Digital link on projector. Extron input 1

1. For Projector use please push Digital Link  on the remote to project the desktop.

2. Be sure Input 1 on extron switcher is selected.

USB C laptop/Cable (Digital link on projector. Extron input 3)

1. For Projector use please push Digital Link  on the remote to project the desktop.

2. Be sure Input 3 on extron switcher is selected.

Laptop (VGA)

1. Push Computer 1 (on the projector remote).

2. Plug the VGA cable into your laptop.

3. Plug in the Mini Audio cable into your laptops headphone jack.

NOTE: If you do not have VGA you will need to get your own adapter. Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adapters that are available and will have to purchase.

IF you need help finding the adapter you need to please set up a meeting with us and we will be happy to help you find the adapter you need

4. Turn on your laptop. You might want to plug in the power cord into your laptop.

  • When connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN+F8 or  + P (Select Mirror image). If these options do not work you might have to go to graphic display options and may need further help.  If so please contact us at the number below.
  • Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement panel select “Mirror displays”

5. For Wired Internet connection plug in the Ethernet cable into your laptop.

6. If you hook up to our wireless access please click on this link General Wireless access. If you are trying to connect to Unsecured wireless access clink on this link Open wireless access. We suggest this link.

DVD/VCR

DVD

1. Select Video (on remote)

2. Make Sure the power is ON on the DVD deck.

3. Push the VCR/DVD button to make sure DVD is selected (on the DVD/VHS deck)

4. If DVD is selected you will see a DVD logo projected on the screen.

5. Push the Open/Close button on the deck to open the tray.

6. Insert your DVD into the tray and push the Open/Close button or gently push the tray.

7. Use the remote or controls on the deck to control the DVD player.

VHS

1,  Push Video on the projector remote.

2. Make sure the power is ON on the VHS deck

3. Push the VCR/DVD button to make sure VCR is selected. (on the DVD/VHS deck)

4. If VHS is selected you will see a blue image projected on the screen.

5. Insert the VHS tape into the deck.

6. Use the remote or controls on the deck to control the VHS player.

Air Media (HDMI)(On Staff lan)

AirMedia allows you to wirelessly present documents, photos and videos from your Android or iOS mobile device or laptop onto the TV.  The system allows a single full-screen presentation or up to four shared presentations to be displayed.

First:  Turn on the Projector and select HDMI on projector remote

Directions for Laptops (PC/Mac):

Step 1:  Connect to the University's Wi-Fi network and open your Internet browser.

Step 2:  Type the address on the TV screen in the URL bar. (the string of numbers in parentheses)

 

Step 3: Download and install the client for you PC or Mac.

Step 4:  Once downloaded, installed and opened, you are prompted for the "CODE" on the screen.

Step 5: Once you see that the content on your laptop device is mirrored onto the classroom display, beware, everything that you see on you computer screen, viewers will also see.

Step 6: Sometimes MAC laptops require that you set your second preference to the Airmedia plug-in, which is called SOUNDFLOWER.

You may now begin your presentation

* When finished presenting - Close and Disconnect the AirMedia

app on you device & turn off TV.

Using the Quad View

Step 1:  Using the Airmedia app display, select which section of the screen you would like to display on.

Step 2:  Other users must login using the same process as you did and then select which portion of the screen they wish to use.

*Note to use: When using quad view sound is disabled.

Directions for Presenting with Android & iOS devices

(Doesn't support video or content protected media)

Step 1:  Download and Install the Crestron Airmedia App from the Google Play Store (Android) or iTunes Store (iOS).

Step 2:  Once downloaded and installed, open the Airmedia App.

Step 3:  The app will automatically search for the AirMedia in that room.  If it does not find it, type the address on the screen in the app search bar. (the string of numbers in parentheses)

Step 4:  When the connection is established, you are prompted to enter the "CODE" on the screen.

Step 5:  Select the content (ONLY IMAGES AND FINISHED DOCUMENTS) from your mobile device you would like to project.

 

*When finished presenting - Close and Disconnect the AirMedia app on your device & turn off the TV.

Volume control

Use the Volume control on remote to control the volume.

  • Power OFF
    • To turn off the projector please push the RED power button on the remote. Hit again to confirm the power off of the projector
    • Please remember to turn off any other devices that you might of turned on.

 

Please shut down projector at end of class!
