 Podium instructions

If Remote is missing turn on TV. Place finger on TV screen in the middle and swipe up.

Input box will show up. Touch the box. Then select the correct input needed.

To view any media device

  • Power up the TV by using TV remote or button on left side of TV
    • Press (RED) button (on remote)
  • Select Source
  • Each time you switch the input source, a dialogue box of your selection will display on the screen.

Desktop computer  (ON TV HDMI 1) ( On crestron switcher Input 2 PC)

Be sure the computer is turned on. Do not have anyting connected to aux cables.

 

Laptop (VGA)

1. Auto switcher in room should switch automatically. Be sure the TV input is on HDMI 1

 2. Connect the VGA cable to your laptop.

3. Connnect the Mini Audio cable to your laptops headphone jack.

  • When connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN+F8 or  + P (Select Mirror image). If these options do not work you might have to go to graphic display options and may need further help. If so please contact us at the number below.
  • Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement panel select “Mirror displays”

4. Turn on your laptop. You might want to plug the power cord into your laptop.

5. Connect the Ethernet cable to your laptop for wired internet access.

6. If you need help hooking up to our wireless access please click on the link Secured Wireless access or for General wireless information go to Wireless Wi-Fi/ VPN

NOTE: If you do not have VGA you will need to get your own adapter. Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adapters that are available and will have to purchase.

IF you need help finding the adapter you need to please set up a meeting with us and we will be happy to help you find the adapter you need.

           7. The Auto switcher should show input 4 with a green light.

HDMI Connection

When using the HDMI connection try to plug directly into computer. HDMI sometimes has connection problem with using the USB-C adapter. Use VGA cable instead if possible.

1. Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop. 

2. Turn on your laptop. 

3. Be sure TV input is on HDMI 1

4. Be sure auto switcher is on input 3.

 

Camera

There IS NO MIC IN THIS ROOM

This Camera is pluged in the PC in the room.

Use the Camera remote to control the camera.

Zoom or google meets.

Start your zoom or Google meets session.

Be sure to select the Logitech Camera in your camera settings.

Starting the video: Video will start once a video call/capture session is opened and the camera is selected. The camera LED will illuminate when the video is streaming.

Camera presets: You can set up to 3 preset positions. First, position the camera using the pan and tilt controls, and then press and hold one of the preset buttons for 3 seconds to save that position. You may return to your defined position at any time by pressing the preset button once. Use Preset 1 as your own defined “home” position. When the camera is reconnected to the PC, it will return to the position set in Preset 1. If no position is set for Preset 1, the camera will return to the default home position. 

Volume control

  • Use volume control buttons on remote

Auto Switcher (On shelf under podium)

Input 2 = PC ( desktop /Room PC )

Input 3 = HDMI CABLE (on podium, For laptop connections)

Input 4 =  VGA cable (on podium for laptop connections)

Power OFF

  • To turn off the TV please push the RED power button on the remote. Hit again to confirm the power off of the TV
  • Please remember to turn off any other devices that you might have turned on.

 

Please shut down projector at end of class!
