FA 202 Media Systems Instructions (Crestron)

Podium Instructions

1. Touch the Crestron screen anywhere and the screen will light up.

Touch again.

Home screen will show up.

        2.  Push Icon of desired device.

To return to home screen push Home icon on touch screen.

• Laptop HDMI

1. Plug in the HDMI cable into your laptop. 
2. Touch the HDMI icon on the crestron touch screen.
3. Be sure your laptop is on.

• Laptop VGA
  1. Connect VGA cable located on the podium to your laptop.
  2. Connect mini audio cable to your headphone jack on your laptop.  
  3. For Wired internet connection plug in the Ethernet cable into your laptop.
  4. If you need help hooking up to our wireless access please click on the link Secured Wireless access or for General wireless information go to Wireless Wi-Fi/ VPN
     

                 5  Push the INSTRUCTOR LAPTOP Icon on the Crestron Selection touch screen.

                 6. Turn on your computer.

• When connecting a laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN + F8 or + P (Select Mirror image).  If these options do not work you might have to go to Graphic display options and may need further help.  If so contact us at the number below.
• Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement panel select “Mirror displays”

• NOTE: If you do not have VGA you will need to get your own adapter. Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adapters that are available and will have to purchase.

  IF you need help finding the adapter you need to please set up a meeting with us and we will be happy to help you find the adapter you need

• USB C

1. Plug in the USB C cable into your laptop.
2. Turn on your laptop
3. Select Display port on the Crestron touch screen.

SYSTEM RACK

• VHS

1. Push  DVD/ VCR Icon on Crestron.
2. DVD VHS Screen will show up on crestron touch screen.
3. Make sure power is on for the VHS Unit.
4. Make sure the DVD/VCR button is selected to VCR. Do this on the Unit itself the VHS ICON on crestron touch screen does not work.
5. Insert VHS tape.
6. Use controls on Crestron touch screen to control the VHS deck

• DVD

1. Push the DVD/VCR icon on the Crestron.
2. DVD VHS Screen will show up on crestron touch screen.
3. Be sure the Power is on for the DVD/VHS unit.
4. Make sure the DVD/VCR button is selected to DVD. Do this on the Unit itself the VHS ICON on crestron touch screen does not work.
5. Open tray drawer.
6. Insert DVD.
7. Use the crestron touch screen to control the DVD player.

• CD player

1. Be sure the CD deck is on.
2. Open CD tray.
3. Insert CD into CD Player
4. Push CD gently in.
5. Use Control on the Deck to control the CD player
6. For Volume control you can use the Sound panel on the equipment rack to control the volume for the CD player 

• MP3

 

1. Plug in your MP3 player into you head phone jack on your device. Using the provided mini plug cable on the podium Marked as MP3.

       2. Push the MP3 AUDIO Icon on the Crestron screen.

       3. For volume you can use your devices volume control or you can use Sound panel on the equipment rack.

1. Put record on player.
2. Push the Turntable Icon on the Crestron screen.
3. Turn on Turn table by turning power knob to the ON position.
4. Put needle on record.
5. For Volume control use Sound panel on the equipment rack to control the volume for the CD player 

• Blu Ray Player

1. Touch the Blu Ray icon on the touch screen.
2. Use the crestron touch screen to control the Blu ray player.

• Utilities Control

This part lets you control individual features in the room.

• Projector
  1. Turn on projector Push the ON Icon on the touch screen.
  2. Turn off Projector Push the OFF Icon on the touch screen.

NOTE: This does take time to power down and up the projector. Please be patient.

• Screen
  1. To Raise the Screen you can Push the UP Arrow on the touch screen.
  2. To Lower the Screen you can Push the Down Arrow on the touch screen.

Note:  You can also use the manual control located on the wall behind the podium.

• Shades
  1. To Raise the Window Shades push the UP Arrow on the touch Screen.
  2. To Lower the Window Shades push the Down Arrow on the touch Screen.

Note:  You can also use the manual control located on the wall behind the podium.

• Volume Control

1. To use the Volume control on the Crestron push the RED BAR Arrow icon on the far right to raise and lower the volume.
2. This option is show on all device screens on the touch screen.
3. Push the UP Arrow on the Crestron to raise the volume.

        4. Push the Down Arrow on the Crestron to lower the volume.

 To MUTE the sound you can push MUTE on the Crestron lower right corner of the screen this will mute the sound. remember to UNMUTE once done. UNMUTE by pushing MUTE button a second time.

• SHUT DOWN (ALWAYS do this at the end of your class)

 

1. Turn off all devices that were used.

1. Push the SHUT DOWN Icon on the Crestron touch screen. 

        2. Push YES to confirm shut down.

 

PLEASE SHUT DOWN THE PROJECTOR AT THE END OF CLASS!
