B 105 Media Systems Instructions (NEC, PC)

Podium Instructions

1. Lower the screen by pushing the button located by the Podium.

      2.  Turn on the Projector by Pushing the Power button on the projector remote.

Select source

• Desktop Computer ( Computer 1, PC)
  1. Push Computer 1 on the projector remote.
  2. Be sure the computer is ON.
  3. Be sure the Monitor is ON.
  4. Use your Log in (NET ID) to log into the computer.

• Laptop (Computer 2)

1. Connect the supplied VGA cable to you Laptop. (This cable is located on the Podium)
2. Connect the Mini Audio cable to your Laptops headphone jack.
3. For Wired internet connection plug in the Ethernet cable into your laptop.
4. If you hook up to our wireless access please click on the link Secured Wireless access or for General wireless information go to Wireless Wi-Fi/ VPN

                 5. Push Computer 2 on the projector remote.

                 6. Turn on your Laptops power.

• When connecting a laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN + F8 or    + P (Select Mirror image).  If these options do not work you might have to go to Graphic display Options and may need further help.  If so contact us at the number below.
• Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement panel select “Mirror displays”

NOTE: If you do not have VGA you will need to get your own adapter. Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adaters that are available and will have to purchase.

• Doc Camera (S-Video)

1. Turn on the power switch on the Doc Camera located on the lower left of the Doc camera.
2. Push S-Video on the Projector remote.

• DVD/VHS

• DVD
  1. Push the Power button on the DVD/VHS deck
  2. Push the VIDEO button on the projector remote.
  3. Push the VCR/DVD button to make sure DVD is selected.
  4. If DVD is selected you will see a DVD logo projected on the screen.
  5. Push the Open/Close button on the deck to open the tray.
  6. Insert the DVD into the tray and push the Open/Close button.
  7. Use the remote or control on the deck to control the DVD player

• VHS
  1. Push the Power button on the DVD/VHS deck.
  2. Push VIDEO button on the projector remote.
  3. Push the VCR/DVD button to make sure DVD is selected.
  4. If VHS is selected you will see a Blue screen projected on the screen.
  5. Insert the VHS tape into the DVD/VHS deck.
  6. Use the remote or control on the deck to control the VHS player.

• Volume
  1. Be sure the Amp/Mixer is turned on.
  2. Be sure the Mains are turned up.
  3. Use the remote control to turn up and down the volume for your devices.
  4. Be sure the Mute is not on. (On the projector remote control)

PLEASE SHUT DOWN THE PROJECTOR AT THE END OF CLASS!

Please remember to log off of the computer

Turn off all devices that you might have turned on.
