FA 144 Media Systems Instructions

 

  1. Turn on Main power.

Rack

     2.  Turn ON TV. (Remote is inside Drawer)

     3.   Be sure the TV input is on HDMI 1. If not push the input button until HDMI 1 is selected.

     4.  Turn ON Hitachi Transmitter Switcher.

   5.  Be sure the Receiver is on it should have a red light. If it has a blue light push the Power button to make it turn Red and turn on.

   6.  Be sure the Rotel unit is turn on in the rack.

   7.  Be sure the Amp on the bottom of the rack is also turned on.

 

Source selection

  • Blue ray/DVD ( The Blue ray player can also play DVDs)
    1. Push the Power button on the Blue ray player.
    2. Use the Remote to control the Blue ray player
    3. Push the HDMI 2 button on the Hitachi Switcher.
    4. On Rotel turn Monitor dial to Source.
    5. On Rotel turn second dial to Video switcher.
  • Cassette
    1. Push the Power button on the Cassette player.
    2. On the Rotel unit turn Monitor dial to Source.
    3. On The Rotel unit turn the second dial to Cassette.
    4. Use the button on the deck to control the Cassette player.
  • CD
  1. Push the Power button on the CD player.
  2. On the Rotel unit turn Monitor dial to Source.
  3. On the Rotel unit turn the second dial to CD.
  4. Use the button on the deck to control the CD player.
  • Laptop (VGA)
  1. Connect the VGA cable to your laptop.
  2. Connect the mini audio cable to your laptops headphone jack.
  3. For Wired internet connection plug in the Ethernet cable into your laptop.

                 5. Push Computer 1 on the Hitachi switcher

                 6. On the Rotel turn Monitor dial to Source.

                 7. On the Rotel turn second dial to Video switcher.

                 8. Turn on your laptop.

  • When connecting a Laptop Please remember to mirror your image by either pressing FN + F8 or  + P (select mirror image). If these options do not work you might have to go to Graphic display options and may need further help. If so contact us at the number below.
  • Mac users click the Mac symbol  choose System Preferences. Choose displays click arrangement tab. In lower left corner of the Arrangement panel select “Mirror displays”
  • NOTE: If you do not have VGA you will need to get your own adapter. Click on the ADAPTERS link and you can see the different types of adapters that are available and will have to purchase.

  • Laptop (HDMI)
  1. Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop.
  2. For Wired internet connection plug in the Ethernet cable into your laptop.

                4. Push HDMI 1 on the Hitachi Switcher.

                5. On the Rotel turn Monitor dial to Source.

                6. On the Rotel turn second dial to Video switcher.

                7. Turn on your laptop.

 

TO RECORD

 

  1. Turn on Main power on rack
  2. Turn on Rotel
  3. Turn on the Roland CD2 recorder. (Located on the back side of the unit)

 

       4. Insert the media you wish to record to CD or CF card.

       5. Turn on Mackie mixer power button is located on back of mixer.

       6. .Use Mackie mixer to adjust audio volumes.

  • Volume
  1. Volume for devices can be control through the Rotel unit in the rack for CD, Cassette, Blue ray player, Laptop.

BLUEDECK2

Button location and functions

  1. Power: Press the button to power the unit on and off.
  2. Play/Pause & Pairing: Press this button to pause the signal from the Bluetooth. Press this button again to play.

Unpairing: Press this button and hold for several seconds to make the unit disconnect from the current Bluetooth connection and go back into standby status.  The Bluedeck 2 will then be able to connect to another Bluetooth compatible device.

  1. Previous button: Press this button to go back to the beginning of the current track or to the previous track on the Bluetooth device.
  2. Next Button: Press this button to go to the beginning of the next track on the Bluetooth device.
  3. Bluetooth Indicator: This indicator will light up if a bluetooth device is successfully paired and connected to the BLUEDECK2.
  4. Bass Control: Use this knob to adjust the treble on the main output.
  5. Treble Control: Use this knob to adjust the treble on the main output.
  6. Headphone Output: Connect your headphones here. Make sure the volume level of the unit is turned down before making a connection.
  7. MP3 Input: Connect your MP3 player here. The unit will play MP3 signal firstly if both MP3 and Bluetooth devices are connected to the unit. Remove the MP# to play Bluetooth audio signal.
  8. Volume: Use this knob to adjust the master volume output.

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR PORTABLE AUDIO DEVICE.

  1. Turn on the power to the BLUEDECK2.
  2. Turn on your audio device you are trying to play you audio from. (Example: IPhone, Android phone, IPad, Tablet, Laptop).
  3. Be sure the Volume knob is down to a low level until sound is heard to make sure volume is not to loud.
  4. Go to the Bluetooth setting for the device you are trying to use.
  5. Turn on Bluetooth if it is not already on.
  6. Click on discover devices.
  7. Look for the device named TPRO BLUEDECK2.  This is the name of the BLUEDECK2 unit.
  8. Click connect or pairing device.
  9. When paired device should say connected or paired. Your device is connected to the BLUEDECK2. The BLUEDECK2 indicator on the front panel will flash after you device successfully connects to the unit.
  10. You can use your device to advance or playback sounds. You can also you the BLUEDECK2 to control your device by press the Previous or Next button on the BLUEDDECK2 to skip a track or go back a track on your device.
  11. Use the Base and Treble on the BLUEDECK2 to control the base and Treble being played from your device.
  12. When finished using the BLUEDECK2 please turn the Volume knob down all the way.
  13. Disconnect your Bluetooth device.
  14. Press the Power button on the device.

Trouble shooting

If  you are having problem connecting to the BLUEDECK2 follow this steps.

  1. Disconnect bluetooth from your device.
  2. Turn off Bluetooth from your device.
  3. Lower the volume knob on the BLUEDECK2.
  4. Turn off the power to the BLUEDECK2.
  5. Turn the power back on the BLUEDECK2.
  6. Turn back on the bluetooth on your device Follow Steps 2 thru 12 on "HOW TO CONNECT YOUR PORTABLE AUDIO DEVICE" (above)
